		Epiphone Guitar Epiphone Guitar (a division of Gibson) celebrates John Lee 's 50th Anniversary by creating a 50th Anniversary Edition guitar in his name.				John Lee Hooker Lane John Lee was honored in a ceremony on November 14, 1998 in Clarksdale, MS in which a street was re-named John Lee Hooker Lane.
		Billboard Magazine Tribute Billboard pays tribute to John Lee for his 50th Anniversary in their September, 1998 issue.				George and Ira Gershwin Lifetime Achievement Award for Musical Achievement at UCLA; presented on May 1, 1998 by Mick Fleetwood.
		Panga Pamodzi Award for Musical Achievement - Mr. Hooker was honored on May 2, 1998 in Oslo, Norway (he didn't attend the event).				BAMMIES Walk Of Fame John Lee received a plaque on the BAMMIES Walk Of Fame at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, March 4, 1998.
		Boom Boom Room John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Room opens in San Francisco October 2, 1997.				Hollywood Walk of Fame John Lee received a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame September 11, 1997.
		Blues Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award John Lee Hooker was honored November 7, 1996 with The Blues Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award (see Special Live Events for more details).
