The Legendary Pops Staples Passed Away December 19

Roebuck "Pops" Staples, leader of The Staple Singers and a legendary solo artist in his own right, passed away at home in his sleep December 19. The Staple Singers, featuring his children, Mavis, Cleotha, Pervis, and later Yvonne, gained fame with their crossover hits, "I'll Take You There", "If You're Ready (Come Go With Me)", "Respect Yourself", "Let's Do It Again" and "Heavy Makes You Happy". Pops' 1992 solo CD, "Peace to the Neighborhood" garnered a Grammy nomination, and in 1994 he released "Father, Father," winning a Grammy. The Staple Singers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. Donations can be made in his name to your local homeless charities.

The Rosebud Agency is first music industry facility to convert to 100% solar power

The Rosebud Agency is leading the way in pursuing environmentally responsible solutions to our energy needs by having converted its San Francisco headquarters to solar power. By all accounts the first company in the music industry to make this conversion, its setup is also the largest solar power system in the city of San Francisco. See full press release.
