John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Room

San Francisco became home to a genuine down-home blues joint with the opening of John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Room, on October 3, 1997. Host and proprietor Alex Andreas and John Lee Hooker welcome lovers of Blues & R&B to the renovated club at Fillmore and Geary in San Francisco, directly across from the legendary Fillmore. Formerly known as Jack's, the club had always been Hooker's favorite hangout in San Francisco. Now he has his own custom booth, his name out front and free reign over the classic club.
