Sue Turner-Cray short film in Festivals, Soundtrack by Robert Cray & Friends

Sue Turner-Cray's short piece, Through Riley's Eyes, will be screened at The New York Independent Film Festival in February. Turner Cray (wife of Rosebud artist, Robert Cray) wrote, produced, directed and acted in the film which debutted at The Las Vegas Film Festival in early December. The film was inspired by the life of Richard Burdell who died in 1998 of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Robert Cray and friends wrote and performed the score to the film.


Grammys Honor John Lee Hooker with Lifetime Achievement Award

John Lee Hooker has been chosen, along with Woody Guthrie, Harry Belafonte and Willie Nelson, to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The Grammys). The award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on February 22 with additional acknowledgement during the Grammy Awards on February 23.


Robert Cray and Loudon Wainwright III Featured at Rainforest Alliance Benefit

The Rainforest Alliance Benefit Concert in New York City on November 29 featured Loudon Wainwright III dueting with Shawn Colvin on Loudon's song "Out of This World". Loudon also performed his timely "Y2K". Robert Cray was also featured in duets withDr. John on "Tollin' Bells" from Cray's new CD, Take Your Shoes Off. Robert also duetted with Angelique Kidjo on "Hold On, I'm Coming" and with James Taylor on the R&B classic, "A Change is Gonna Come".
