The Rosebud Agency is proud to welcome the Soul Queen of New Orleans, Irma Thomas. Irma won a 2010 Blues Music Award for Soul Blues Female Artist of the Year, an award for which she is nominated again in 2011 and which she has won eight times overall. She is also featured on "Heart of Steel" by Galactic which was just named by the New York Times as one of its Top 10 songs of 2010. Among her other recent honors are her 4th Grammy nomination in 2009 for her Simply Grand CD, as well as a 2007 Grammy Award win. She has also been honored with a 2009 induction into the Blues Hall of Fame, MOJO Magazine's Legend Award in 2008 and an induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Irma recently appeared on HBO's hit series, Treme, in which she sang with an All Star backing band including Rosebud's Allen Toussaint. Irma is at the top of her game, winning awards and demonstrating with every performance how much she deserves them.

Winners of 5 Grammy Awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and honored as Gospel Music Hall of Fame Inductees, The Blind Boys of Alabama are indisputable Gospel legends who have thrilled a generation of audiences over their storied 70 year career. The Blind Boys will release a new CD in Spring 2011, produced by Jamey Johnson and featuring guests such as Hank Williams Jr., Vince Gill and Lee Ann Womack.


In 2003, The Blind Boys of Alabama received a Grammy Award for Go Tell It On The Mountain, their best selling CD of holiday hymns, carols and seasonal pop standards. That year the group launched their first Christmas tour featuring material from the CD and other traditional favorites. The Go Tell It On The Mountain tour performed before capacity audiences at such prestigious venues as Washington DC's Lisner Auditorium, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Atlanta's Symphony Hall and Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, and also led to a popular PBS special and DVD of the same name. For the 9th consecutive season, the gospel legends return with a joyful holiday concert celebration to inspire and uplift audiences of all ages.

Allen guests on two songs on Eric Clapton's new CD and is a featured guest on Cyndi Lauper's 2011 Grammy nominated CD. He has been featured on HBO's Emmy nominated hit series Treme, playing himself and last September supported Neil Young on select dates of his solo tour. Allen Toussaint's world class virtuosity and incomparable contribution to music history is matched only by the incredible warmth he generates in concert with his old school Southern charm.

The New York Times' Jon Pareles proclaimed Bettye LaVette "now rivals Aretha Franklin as her generation's most vital soul singer." Her latest CD, Interpretations: The British Rock Songbook, just garnered Bettye a 2011 Grammy nomination. Her best selling CD ever, the record features her versions of classic rock songs so inventively reinterpreted that they won raves from the songs' original writers including Elton John, Keith Richards and Pete Townshend. Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars came together in West African refugee camps as their homeland was being racked by years of bloody warfare. Touring in the wake of their award winning documentary Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, audiences around the world embraced the band and their extraordinary, moving story.
