Rosebud's Jim Lauderdale joins the legendary Dr. Ralph Stanley and his Clinch Mountain Boys, plus contemporary bluegrass heroes The Seldom Scene for The RetroRoots Tour.
Jim is a 5 time Grammy nominee, including a 2008 solo Award win and a 2002 Award win and 2007 nomination for collaborations with Ralph Stanley. He was also nominated for solo Grammys in 2010 and 2007. Lauderdale's songs have been recorded by artists such as George Jones, The Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, and George Strait. Jim is featured on the latest Elvis Costello CD, National Ransom, for which he co-wrote "I Lost You", and performed in Elvis Costello's Sugarcanes band in 2009 and 2010. Lauderdale's own most recent CD, Patchwork River, a collaboration with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, ranked #21 on Americana Radio's Top releases of 2010.
