 The Dirty Dozen Liven Up Emeril Live on Food Network, Oct. 2 The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will lend their distinctive sound to superstar chef Emeril Lagasse’s program on TV’s Food Network on October 2, 8PM/11PM. This is a part of 7-day series "Emeril Salutes America", during which Emeril visits 7 major cities to perform live shows. The Dirty Dozen will add their special flavor to New Orleans recipes such as "Fried Seafood Platter" and "Pecan Bread Pudding". Rubén Blades Guests On New MANA and Derek Trucks CDs Rubén Blades is featured as a guest vocalist on the new MANA CD, Revolucion De Amor, on “Sabanas frias”. Also just out is the new Derek Trucks CD, Joyful Noise, on Columbia which features Rubén on Kam-ma-lay. Watch for Rubén on tour this Fall with more dates being added constantly. Rubén Blades Special Guests On Resurrection Blvd Sept 11 Musician/actor/activist Rubén Blades, whose new CD, Mundo is set for release September 17th on Columbia Records, will make an appearance on Showtime’s Resurrection Blvd on September 11th. Blades, who stars as a homeless man, joins a list of several guest luminaries this season including Sinbad, Paul Rodriguez, Lou Diamond Phillips, Craig Kilborn and Jose Feliciano. Resurrection Blvd., which began its third season on June 26th, is the first weekly one-hour dramatic series to predominantly feature Latinos in front of and behind the camera. Blades’ Mundo is a collection of 14 tunes melding Latin, Celtic, Middle Eastern, African, Afro-Cuban, jazz and flamenco which has already received rave reviews from all corners. |
