Loudon Wainwright III Teams Up With Van Dyke Parks and Bill Frisell in Germany

Loudon Wainwright III will perform alongside singer/songwriter legend Van Dyke Parks and jazz guitarist icon Bill Frisell on two exclusive dates in Germany on July 11 and July 13 . The concerts take place at the German Ruhr Triennale arts festival in a historic industrial hall near Duisburg as features of the series “Century of Song”. Loudon will perform his own material in new arrangements as well as some of his favorite songs by other songwriters. Bill Frisell’s band includes famous steel guitarist Greg Leisz. Watch for Loudon's new live CD, So Damn Happy, to be released August 19.


Robert Cray's "Time Will Tell" in stores July 1

The Robert Cray Band release their Sanctuary Records debut entitled "Time Will Tell" on July 1, 2003. Cray and long time keyboardist Jim Pugh produced the record featuring guest artists Jerry Martini and Cynthia Robinson (Sly & the Family Stone Horns), Turtle Island String Quartet, and Luis Conte. Cray is a five-time Grammy Award winning artist long acclaimed for his prowess in the idioms of blues and Southern soul but Pugh, Cray and band have seized the opportunity with this new project to explore some compelling alternate routes on the musical map that should satisfy yet surprise long time fans of the band. Catch The Robert Cray Band on tour throughout 2003 - with many dates set as co-headline shows with John Hiatt and The Goners.


Mavis Staples to Tour with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers

Mavis Staples has been invited to tour with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers on their 2003 US summer tour! The tour starts June 26 in Sioux Falls and runs through August 26 in New Orleans. In addition to the Petty tour, Mavis will be performing at various music festivals and fine art centers throughout 2003.
