The Blind Boys of Alabama’s Atom Bomb is set for release March 15. The new CD, features special guests, Los Lobos guitarist, David Hidalgo, Billy Preston, Charlie Musselwhite, and Gift of Gab from Blackalicious. The CD release follows on the heels of the band’s fourth consecutive Grammy win for their collaboration with Ben Harper, There Will Be a Light. The Blind Boys of Alabama Score 4th Consecutive Grammy!, New CD in March

The Blind Boys of Alabama were honored with a rare 4th consecutive Grammy for their collaboration with Ben Harper, There Will Be a Light . The Blind Boys followed the win with a performance on the Grammy telecast along with Mavis Staples, Kanye West and John Legend. Two nights later the legendary gospel singers appeared on The Tonight Show. The Blind Boys continue their steady pace with another new CD release, Atom Bomb, on March 15 featuring special guests Los Lobos guitarist David Hidalgo, Billy Preston, Charlie Musselwhite and Gift of Gab from Blackalicious. The Blind Boys on Tonight Show Tuesday February 15

The Blind Boys of Alabama have been invited to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday, February 15. Their appearance on the Tonight show follows Mavis Staples who is featured on the show the preceding night. Both artists will also be featured on the worldwide broadcast of The Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 13. The Blind Boys are nominated for both Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album for their collaboration with Ben Harper on There Will Be a Light and for Best Gospel Performance for the title track from that album. The Blind Boys' new CD, Atom Bomb, will be released on March 15.


Tommy Castro CD Debuts At #2 Billboard Blues

Tommy Castro's new Blind Pig CD, Soul Shaker debuts at #2 on the Billboard blues chart this week. The new CD got a great review in Billboard magazine and Tommy is out promoting the CD with sessions just taped at XM and Sirius satellite radio networks. Watch for Tommy to appear on the June/July cover of Blues Revue Magazine as well as being featured on an upcoming broadcast of the House of Blues Radio Hour.


Mavis Staples On Jay Leno February 14!

Mavis Staples has just been confirmed to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Valentine's Day, Monday, February 14, 2005. Mavis can also be seen performing on the Grammys telecast on Sunday, February 13 with Kanye West, The Blind Boys of Alabama and John Legend. Performing in front of a national television audience on back to back nights is a rare opportunity for any artist and is a credit to Mavis' incredible talent and continued relevance in contemporary music. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band On Conan February 8!

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band has just been confirmed to perform on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on Tuesday February 8, 2005. The band is on tour in support of their latest release, Funeral For A Friend, which was just named Best Album in the Brass Band category in the offbeat music awards. The band was once again named Best Brass Band in offBeat Magazine's Best Of The Beat Awards as well. Watch for the band live on tour nationwide throughout the Spring and Summer.
