 New Duke Robillard Blues + Jazz CD Compilation Releases Rounder Records has issued two compilations of Duke Robillard's best work on the label. The self explanatory titles are Duke Robillard Plays Blues and Duke Robillard Plays Jazz. Duke is also currently featured on the new releases by Ruth Brown, R&B = Ruth Brown, and Bob Dylan's new hit CD, Time Out Of Mind. Robert Cray Blues Revue Cover Story Robert Cray plays Santa on Blues Revue's December cover in the tradition of Muddy Waters and Luther Allison, the last two artists to grace the magazine's holiday issue in Santa hats. The San Francisco Jazz Festival closed their most successful run ever with a tribute to Charles Brown who was joined on stage by his band, Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, Ruth Brown, and Jimmy Scott singing in various combinations to honor Charles' 75th and his remarkable career. |
