Grammy Congratulations To Ivan Lins and Joe Lovano Congratulations to Ivan Lins and Joe Lovano on their Grammy Wins. A Love Affair, The Music of Ivan Lins, the tribute CD in Ivan's honor won a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Sting's track, "She Walks This Earth (Soberana Rosa)". Joe Lovano, won a Grammy Award in the category of Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album for his 52nd Street Themes. Joe anchors our Newport Jazz 2002 Tour along with Terence Blanchard and Cedar Walton. John Hammond's, Wicked Grin, Produced by Tom Waits Out March 13 Tom Waits and John Hammond have collaborated on Hammond's new CD, Wicked Grin. With the exception of one traditional gospel tune, Wicked Grin is a CD full of Tom Waits songs as performed by Hammond with Waits handling production. Handy All Stars Honored Again Members of the initial Handy All Stars tour continue to rack up awards already this year. Johnnie Johnson will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March. Handy All Stars scoring W. C. Handy Award nominations again this year included Little Milton (Blues Entertainer of the Year and Soul Artist of the Year-Male), Duke Robillard (Guitar), Trudy Lynn (Soul Artist of the Year - Female), Charlie Musselwhite (Harmonica) and Gordon Sax Beadle (Horns).
